Got a refund via paypal through finally. Now seller is getting abusive and saying they have 60 days to cancel it back and may do so. Is this possible? What if I withdraw the amount from my paypal account?

Cheers all

Im pretty sure you cannot.

I have just tried, and there is no button, link, or otherwise.
He can refund the original payment for 60 days, but thats it.

But there would not be a link unless you had sent a refund initially surely? Or did you check that? Much appreciate the help guys by the way thanks.

Yeah, I use paypal everyday. I refund any excess postage and since I do partial refunds, the refund is automatically refunded to the other persons card or bank account. I will ring Paypal up for you.

What's happened is this:

1: I buy an item off ebay with paypal account which is funded by my credit card linked with account
2: It's faulty so send it back
3: Get refunded partial amount (99% the amount) buy seller and it goes straight to my credit card direct.
4: I get lots of hassle and he now threatens he will cancel my refund as has 60 days to.

You can withdraw the money and cancel the direct debit to your bank account by speaking to your bank.

If you so wish, you can also close your paypal account, which would mean they can't do anything at all.

I suspect that they can't do anything about a refund realistically though.

I could write soo much stuff about paypal, but im really not bothered, i have probably said it before on this forum... the bottom line is, dont use paypal ... Trust me.

if the refund/payment came from his cc and he does a charge back paypal wont put his account into negative balance they will yours.

thats probably what he means by cancelling the refund.
