Selling Comp: How to Completely Format HDD?

I’m looking to sell my computer. How easy is it to completely format the Hard Drive? I'm Guessing just doing a clean Install of Operating System is not going to be enough?

depends how much personal info you have on the drive that you dont want anyone to be able to recover

if you dont have any, then just insalling the OS again is enough

if you do, then you will want to use a wiper application

That would be what I linked... You do have the ability to put the OS back on after with the use of either an OS or recovery discs right?
