My parents are moving house and have dumped me with a load of my old stuff - Magic cards and Warhammer included. I don't particularly have the room or any need to store them, so I'm looking to sell.

Trouble is I have no idea how to shift them. I sold most of my rare MTG cards years ago for a few hundred quid - is there still as much money for them? I've got two cases full of cards, probably over 1,000 including some very old 'uns, as well as some decks with rares/golds in still.

Warhammer I know isn't worth much when painted. I haven't got much either (40k, Imperial Guard with 5/6 tanks), so might give them to some kid for a fiver or something. Anyone know how to find said kid? If I go into a Games Workshop will they take them off me/advertise them?

I'll probably end up sticking everything in the MM but I just want to make sure I don't end up selling it all for a lot less than it's worth.

Thanks in advance! :)

Except its not PC related gear . . . . ;). They would let you give it away im sure.
How about a colletors fair of some sort? Tkae it all in and ask around the vendors. Im sure you could probably play them off against each other!

I thought I'd seen non-PC things in the MM before?

And if we're talking £15 or £20 it's not really worth going to a fair especially :p.

Could be more though!
Might be worth checking with a mod on the MM then. Although I know books/DVD and HIFI is fine. Check the FAQ for it, pretty sure it is mentioned in there.

re the warhammer stuff, one way would be to pop into your local GW and see if they've got any local gaming groups that might make use of the models :) (or offer them in a free paper etc).

IIRC the Gameworkshop website has a list of various clubs, with contact details if you want to go that route.

Unfortunately I don't think it would be allowed for sale in the MM though.

[edit]
whilst most GW models aren't particularly sought after, some of the older ones are still very much in demand because the original moulds have been lost/damaged and never been replaced, or the character has been discontinued (or just the newer versions don't look as good, or the old ones have a particular part that people want for modding)

Are the MTG cards in mint or near mint condition? If there are around 1000, and if they are in mint/near mint condition, I'll offer you £15. Call it £20 to include postage. Would have to be cheque as don't have paypal anymore.

My eight year old is just getting into it and loves the feel and design of the cards.

Not sure how much you'll get on e-bay. I have just lost out on an auction of 930 cards including 30 rares. It went for £6.53.

In fact, I withdraw my offer.
