Selling my numberplate

Hi all,

I have a number plate thats currently on retention which I don't want to put onto my current car. Does anybody know where the best place is to sell them? I have requested a valuation through regtransfers but have a suspicion that it's not gonna be what I want!

Also, when sold is it just a matter of sending the retention doc to the buyer or is there more to it than that?

regtransfers will give you a huge valuation but they sell on commission, they do nothing, sit on tens of thousands of plates and make a nice few bob on the occasional one that sells

whatever they tell you divide by 4 and you will somewhere near what you can reallistically get if you are lucky

very few plates ever resell, I have let several go including a M3 plate as in reality only really special stuff is ever re sellable
