Sent my HX750 in for RMA replacement. Been offered an RM750. Quick question.

Having had a look at the classes of both these PSUs, I paid over £130 for the HX750 back in the day for its performance and credentials. Seems the RM750 is more the low to mid end of the class spectrum for PSUs and the price reflects that £90).

From a quick search it seems the AX760 is the closest PSU for this generation to the then HX750.

Would people agree? Corsair support have asked me to confirm if I want the RM750 or not so I was going to say no, that I want the AX760 instead as that's the closest match. They offered the RM750 as the HX is EOL and they said the RM was the closest match.

Cheers!

iirc the RM750 is worse than the HX750 which was Seasonic made - I agree, I'd be asking for either an RM850 or even better, an AX760(i) which you said

As 1-time a courtesy, we set up AX760 as replacement to match your concern.

So basic rights are a 1 time courtesy now?!

Actually 1 time is right, because my next PSUs probably won't be Corsair for sure now.
