Hi folks
I'm looking to get a 5.1 system going again and currently debating whether to utilise my existing kit or buy something new and a little more compact. I have an A/V amp that is a few years old but was decent at the time, the Sony STR-DB1080, and am currently using it in Stereo with a pair of Mission bookshelf speakers (can't remember the model but they were £150).
I have £200-ish to spend and was contemplating getting a 5.1 speaker set like the Jamo A102, but decent 'Multimedia' speaker systems like the aforementioned Logitech appear to be so well reviewed for A/V and gaming I was wondering if I should get one of those type of systems and be rid of my HUGE amp and large-ish speakers ? How do these systems compare ?
The system would be used for 40% movies / 40% games / 20% music and I will be feeding it with Sky, PS3, 360 and lossless music from iTunes.
Thanks in advance for any wisdom you can provide
