Seriously, whats with some neighbours!

Why do some neighbours feel the need to BANG doors, not close them but bang them. The neighbours next door have been very good up until this week, now all i hear is the banging of doors or atleast bump and bang. Because my walls are CRAP i hear it all!. This morning i had to tell them to keep it down abit, because there little ones felt the need to run up and down their hallway at 6am every morning for 5days so far!.

I'm very aggitated when it comes to noise, the previous neighbours were hell

Why don't you move to a detached property?

oh yea, because you can't afford it, and you can't be bothered to better yourself/work harder so you can afford it.

Righty'O then ..

Work harder and buy a detached house. Sorted.
I have the same problem, though I used to have a detached house in kent. When I moved to berkshire, I couldnt afford the same sized house, and I am working harder and getting paid more.

In short, your logic is crap rich boy! ;) Not all of us earn big bucks pushing tin!

What is particularly annoying, if you've stayed in a student house or similar, is fire doors which slam themselves! I always slow them down as they're closing but most people don't and that noise travels through walls very easily.

During the day most noise I can tolerate but if it's when I'm trying to sleep it's a very different matter. 6AM is a bit much tbh.

Fire doors, i remember them well, especially when you have a series of 2-3 doors to go through to get into the flat. Pretty annoying when a group come back after drinking the night away.

Only a detached house can save you from the inconsiderates, people with kids, chavs etc. The undesirables are never far away in a terraced house by virtue of the fact that they are the cheapest properties.

the bloke is complaining to his neighbours because

1) They shut doors too loudly.
2) They have kids that, funny enough, run up and down in the morning.

He wasn't happy with the last neighbours he had either.

I mean - 'kids running up and down too noisy'? I mean come on ... if someone had written 'Grumpy neighbour complains because my kids run around' everyone here would be up in arms about grumpy neighbour, wouldn't they?

People here have total hatred towards benefit claimants, yet complete sympathy for someone that doesn't bother getting a detached house even though he hates not having one, choosing instead to make some other people's lives difficult ...

This is neighbour number 2 in a row you haven't liked. And his kids running around in the morning doesn't seem like outrageous behaviour, it sounds kinda normal to be honest.

You should consider selling up and living somewhere where there is little risk of noise ruining your day, sounds like you're in the wrong type of housing at the moment. ..

And that you are spot on!, It's up for sale and thus i'm moving out next year!.

The previous neighbour had drunk nights and music with guitar from 2 till 5am with loud music from the back garden. I haven't lived in peace for a long time.

At the end of the day it isn't my fault, i just want to have some peace n quiet, why is it that some people like yourself see that noise is acceptable?.

Read this thread I started blimin' ages ago -- quite interesting and same topic:

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/sh...96&highlight=time+expect+username_britboy4321

It's amazing how much people vary in their definition of 'acceptable'... :)

Don't forget also not every house is built the same way, for example my old house you could hardly hear next door at all. If i said to you with this place, you could hear a person's conversation on the phone, that's how thin the walls are!. Anyone running or using music, goes through both bedrooms to the other side of the wall!.

Not everyone wants to get up at 6, not everyone wants to listen to music at 10pm!. What if i was sick? or a bad migraine e.t.c

Anyway i've said my peace, mods do your thing with this thread!

yea one thing about the uk is that all the houses are stuck together, it is much better when you have a full detached house. in the uk for some reason only the largest houses are not stuck to another house. i always think that the neighbours can here me when the houses are stuck together. even though i never hear them. you can also play music louder.
