Run SETI on a GPU?
Run SETI on only one PC?

As always, congrats to the tiffy winners! Don't forget that you can get your tiffies from www.teamocuk.co.uk; simply click on your username, scroll to the bottom of the page and use the relevant urls to display them in all their Technicolor beauty on this forum! If you think you've been missed off the milestones list then please let me know so I can add you manually.

H'onwards and h'upwards!

Evening TT thanks for the news, much h'appreciated as allways :)

Evening peeps
Question, i need to do a fresh os install as long as i back up boinc data folder i can save and transfer back when complete but in view of the servers being down when i re install boinc does it need to connect to servers, or is all the info it needs in the data backup?
Thanks in advance
No - before anyone suggests it was my 200hr plus astropulse task that borked the servers :)

Thanks for the news TT

Top of single rig users again  I like that list, although I doubt I will be top next week but for now :D :D :p

Well done, as expected. However - been running full tilt since me new PSU went in - so don't expect it to last. Even held off connecting up my wc to the water block to make sure I don't drop a single processing second!

Of course, the server problems may yet play into your hands for yet another week, as I don't know how big your cache is.......;)

Damn

Makes me feel better in a totally selfish sort of way :D !!

Got 1203 GPU and 433 CPU still to process. ;)

It looks like there is now life at Berkeley - at least the home page of the web-site is back up. What'll be interesting is when the floodgates eventually open; if everyone has run dry, pendings will largely vanish and everyone will be fighting to upload/download! I sincerely hope they put a sensible plan in place! RAC will once again will become somewhat meaningless for a time as people re-build pending queues.......

Of course under normal circumstances Tuesday is the day the servers are taken down for maintenance. I really hope they don't do that this week... Two out of my three machines are now out of units of any kind.

My immediate thoughts were that they'd just keep the project down until Friday (it may well take that long to recover anyway). I stand by them, though I know no more than anyone else.

I'm hoping the servers are back up long enough to get some data, discovered one of my machines had decided it had no net access so never got anything before the w/e problem. It'll be out tomorrow if I can't get some work over night.

Monday Update: The air conditioning in our server closet failed on Saturday, causing several of our important systems to overheat. Most servers and services were shut down and will remain down as we continue to wait for the air conditioning to be fixed, which will be Tuesday at the earliest.

Friday is looking more likely by the hour.

Got my i7 930 running @ 4.1Ghz - seems stable (using the Corsair H70, 140mm intake Xigmatech intake fan and 120mm Corsair exhaust fan) - temps @ 90c. Will try a little tweaking 2morrow (too late now). If anyone can advise some Asus RE3 & i7 930 oc guides - it would be appreciated (also using G.Skill 2000mhz 6gb tri-channel ram).

Unfortunatly the i7 ran out of seti wu's - so running Milkyway. In fact I have transferred all CPU's to Milkyway leaving the GPU's on seti.

Sleep time :D
