Couple of questions about connecting up my 3x 640gb Caviar Blacks to my Gigabyte UD5 mobo.
First, would there be any great benefit to plugging them into the gsata2 sockets, or would it be best to stick with the standard sata2 sockets.

Second, when it comes to bios, I think I've decided to set them to AHCI mode. Will I need to install Intel Matrix Storage Manager to make the most of this mode, or is this unnecessary in Windows 7?
I won't be setting up any RAID configuration, just three seperate drives.
Thanks

I'd just stick with the normal SATA ports, shouldnt matter but personally I'd rather have them all using the same controller, dont know why though
No need to install IMSM no
