Shaky photo, worth printing larger? (100% crop inside)

I'm debating getting a print @ 16"x12" of this photo, problem being i was a complete nub when i was up there, forgot to up my ISO and was wondering why i was using half-second exposures (bah). Hence its a little shaky.

I'm getting some prints done for Xmas presents and thought i might get a couple done for myself too. I got some free tests done at 6"x4" and that photo obviously looks fine at that tiny size. Now i'm wondering, would it be worth getting it printed larger, or would it just be horrible?

Here's a 100% crop. :(

Thanks.

It's should look okay printed at 16x12
Run it through some noise reduction software, sharpen it up a little and it be even better :)

You've said it's a 100% crop but don't say how large the original is in comparison.

Going by what you have posted...there is a bit of camera shake, the highlights are overexposed, there is a lot of noise and you have extreme purple fringing between the dark and light areas.

It's not good, but if that's part of a 10 megapixel shot you'll probably be OK around A4ish. I wouldn't push it much further than that unless it's for personal use.

Having said that photobox do A4 for £2.20 last time I ordered so just add it on to another order and all you've lost is the price of a pint.

Thanks for the advice. It was taken with my D50, so its 3008x2000 (minus cropping) @ 240dpi.

Anyhoo, i decided to get my prints at only 12"x8" (presents), and coupled with the 30% offer i saved a fair amount from what i originally estimated, so i just went for it. It's only for myself, so :)

We shall see!
