About time that the govt did something useful for once.

Well done for not bowing down

There are already a couple of GD threads for this story.

Anyway, if she's a dual citizen then fair enough, she can go live in Bangladesh.

Nice to see the government actually do the right thing and not pander to her family or her ''community'' .

There are still lengthy legal arguments to be had, especially about the child who is not legally Bangladeshi.

I suspect this court case will run for years, turning into a diplomatic incident with Bangladesh (which demands that folks who turn 21 give up dual nationality). But maybe it’ll just pass by.

I think she sealed her fate with her comments about the Manchester Arena bombing.

If ISIS had still been around she'd have still been with them.

100% the correct decision, she and her baby can rot for all I care. This won't be the end of it though, it'll end up costing us a fortune in tax payers money.

Shoe is on the other foot, and a girl is born and raised in Bangladesh but has dual citizenship with the U.K. She’s never been here or actively sought British citizenship. She goes off to join IS and Bangladesh revokes her citizenship and makes her our problem.

How does that go down in the DM and on here?

We did it first, so it'll be up to Bangladesh to make her stateless, which they can't. It was a game of "hot potato" and we won

And this is precisely why we need tighter immigration control and freedom from the EU Dictat.
