Decided today would be a perfect day to finally get round to cleaning the car's interior, and shampoo the (cloth) seats etc.

I need recommendations for decent shampoos - is it better to go for the bottles with brushes on the end, or if you don't go for one of those what else do you use? How to you rinse off the excess shampoo?

Never done this before!

i've got a VAX

one of those carpet shampooers

brilliant for getting rid of the little 'uns spilt ribena off the lounger carpet, and also rather good for car upholstery too :D

Another vote for VAX, they are really good at getting ground in dirt out of car seats. But do it on a hot day, even with the vax sucking out most of the water, the foam in car seats will still retain some, so its best to leave the car with its windows open for a few hours after to make sure its really 100% dried out.
