Blackbadger is right, the list we use to do our LANs for 250 is long. You need safety matting to protect the cables on the floor, cooling for the room. Remember that 250 PCs and monitors generate a lot of heat, you need to make sure that either there are tall ceilings or AC units.

The room we use has 3 power rings plus a distribution board that supplies up to 60 amps. We have the power diagrams for the building, i suggest you get the same. I have been asked a couple times when i was chairman of the computer society by budding LAN organisers about what it takes. In 1 case they spend about £1000 of their own money on equipment before realising it just wasn't feasible.

I know that we may seem against it, its just that you should start small and build up, get experience and then in a couple years get to 250. It is always good when someone organises a LAN, but if it is bad or poorly organised, it will be your first and last.
