Current specs

E8200 @ 3.1ghz (stock cooler)
2GB PC6400
512mb 9800GTX (not the plus variant)

Gigabyte P35-DS3L mobo.

Win XP 32bit

Recommendations for an upgrade(s) for around £200?

I can't think of anything, most things run maxed anyways apart from a couple of games. But future-proofing is always good, and i want to make sure i can play Empire next year :)

Well you could go for more RAM maybe another 2gb or buy a 2x2gb kit as they are fairly cheap these days, maybe a CPU cooler such as Tuniq Tower or Thermalright TRUE

Do you think vista and more ram will actually bring a performance boost? I feel so lucky that i dont have all the compatibility issues people seem to be having with 64bit operating systems?

I have thought about it, maybe a dual boot...

Aren't the compatibility issues all solved now? The only people having trouble are using ancient peripherals?

I'm no expert, but I get the impression all that's over.

How about not spend the money on something you dont need? If you cant think of an upgrade and you say u run all the games how you awnt too. Then why upgrade. Though i would say vista 64bit and another 2gb would be a good idea.

But seriously why dont you just put the 200 quid else where?

PSu and case are fine :) I think i may get another 2gb of ram and vista then. I suppose its time i spent a bit of time on it anyway. I'm a programmer for a living and i dont know a thing about vista yet!

Thanks for all the help.
