No really.

Well, I slightly jumped the gun as Yu Suzuki has launched a kickstarter Campaign, looking for $2,000,000. Considering $1,300,00 has already banked in less than 24 hours, i'd say he's going to meet his target :D

Coming to PC and PS4.

As someone who kind of likes the original but found it slightly slow (do you know any sailors?) I am moderately excited for this but I guess this will be big news to some of you on here!!

It'll easily hit the target. It's already closing in on $1.6 million. Gone up about $150k in the last hour :p Fully expecting it to hit it's $4 million last stretch goal too.

Happy to hear it's a thing now though. I thought it was done and dusted since, whilst Shenmue was awesome, it did really bad commercially.

I really couldn't be happier. Shenmue 1 and 2 are both my favourite games of all time, and I had pretty much given up hope of 3 ever being made.

I'm really annoyed at myself though. I had planned on waking up and watching it live, because I had a feeling with all the rumours beforehand that this would be announced, but of course my alarm went off and I just turned it off and went straight back to sleep.

Turning out to be the most memorable E3 ever - so many big announcements, catering to pretty much every single platform...utterly incredible to see the legacy of great series like Shenmue (14 years for chrissakes!) being continued for the fans.

Ah boy... Going to have to back this! I have such fond memories playing the first one on the Dreamcast as a kid.

This will be my 2nd Kickstarter backing :D

They should eventually bring Shenmue 1 and 2 to PC also in a HD Remaster, I would back that too :)

I believe so...I remember walking around some town and petting a cat, whilst talking to people. Then going into an arcade and getting into some sort of fight with weird controls that put me off at the time. I'm sure the game had 'Shen' in it's title :o

The description sounds right, but it's never been on N64. Only Dreamcast and Xbox.

Could have been the Dreamcast then as he was a console fanboy and had a few. It was quite a strange game to play though, I vaguely remember saying that I'd never seen anything like it.

Was a great game for it's time mate, if you like that genre. Shame the Dreamcast sold so badly and as a result the game did not sell well.

I'm glad I got up to watch the press conference last night :p

HYPED and backed for $120. It is just about to hit the 2 million mark hopefully it can double that in the coming weeks :D
