Shocking Ferrari Crash

From the Youtube page where this video is from.

Ferrari driver, DEAD on the spot. cab driver, his family decided to turn off his life support, Japanese girl (passenger of the cab) dead after succumbing to her injuries, girl passenger of the ferrari, in a stable condition now, another motorcyclist, stable as well. Ferrari driver is a business man from China, married, survived by a pregnant wife and a daughter. People are wondering why he was out that night until 5am in the morning with a young girl as a passenger.

I've seen similar things happen under my nose, it does put you into shock and a 29 second video does not give time to show the taxi driver parking up to go back to see what (if anything) he could do to help.

Part & parcel of driving for a living unfortunately, the really sad thing is this sort of thing happens daily, its only the Ferrari factor that raises the attention imo.

Had this been Barry in his Focus,(which is the sort of thing I've unfortunately witnessed more times than I care to recall) whilst equally tragic, I doubt it would have raised much interest.

Proof if ever it were needed, that money & sucess does not buy common sence.

R.I.P.

More pics and information below.

Gets better. Some scumbag robbed the money in the taxi whilst the female passenger inside was effectively dying.

Defies belief.

Here's google maps of the actual junction. Can't believe its only about 10 mins from where I stayed when I went to see the F1.

Looks like he was trying to impress his young lady passenger. And he was heading from Geylang (RLD).

Disagree with it gathering attention because it's a Ferrari.

Any big smash like this grabs attention... just not a lot of it is captured on film.

If they Ferrari driver survived then there will be a lot of people who wish he didn't.

I'm not so sure tbh, youtube is full of exotic car smashes, yet most salvage yards are full of wrecks created in "run of the mill" car smashes, Fords, Vauxhalls / whatever.

I've seen many fatals unfortunately, yet struggled to find up any follow up information. Its not hard to find out information and / or internet footage if the involved vehicle is anything near exotic.

I may well be wrong, I grant you, this is however my perception of the "interest" in such incidents after (perhaps) too long on the roads.....

This brings home the fact that despite your best efforts to drive safely, it only takes one misjudged action from another road user to end it all, and that there's sod all that can be done about it.

RIP. :(
