Anyone got either and there thoughts on them?

Both fit me well and am torn between them.

I like quiet lids which has put my off the XR1000 and Raid 2 lids before. Had Schuberth C3 which was quiet but got that before i had my eyes lasered to make it easier with my glasses.

Obviously the Shoei is a lot cheaper but not too fussed as this is going to be my new main lid for the foreseeable future.

Oops, should read XR1100 of course!!

XR1100 but I'm biased, it's the only one that fits me that's not £500, I paid £260 for a plain black one if you need a pric comparison.

You are right the xr1100 is noisier than my XR800 but was 15yrs old but the XR1100 has excellent ventilation

I have an XR1000. Good quality helmet, feels light and is comfy with a 'plush' feel to it. It's not all that loud (its a lot quieter than the Caberg V2 I had.

I do fancy a Schuberth S1 next though - I tried one for fit recently and it did seem to suit the shape of my head really well.

Money no object, and assuming the S1 fits well, I'd probably go for that.

Ended up with a Matt Black XR-1100

Comfiest lid ever had i must say and not too noisy. Bloody huge though, so much bigger than the Airtech but very nice lid indeed. Got it for £280 including a smoked visor which was good

Nice and good price with visor as well :)

Matt black? mines gloss black, I wanted a white one but they didn't have any in stock, is the visor genuine Shoei and did you get all the pinlock stuff?
