Shoes?

After some footwear recommendations!

On my second pair of leather brogues in just over a year from Asos, and the sole seems to wear rather quickly! After around 6 months some parts of the sole are almost completely worn through!

Anyone able to recommend a shoe with a fairly hard wearing sole?

Brogues would be good. Budget around £40-50!

Perhaps, I always thought that was quite pricey! And these are rather knackered.

Think my soles were leather, or partly anyway, seems to be around 4-5 layers of various materials.

I don't mind dropping £40-50 on a new pair which has a harder sole and also can be re-soled further down the line.

Can't seem to find anything about these 'R' soles! Anyone have links?

That's all I've came across, not my style unfortunately.

I'd love some Gucci brogues, but for daily wear in an engineering office, a bit much! Especially with the occasional jaunt downstairs to the factory floor.

Yup, as soon as they're worn down to the stitching I take them to Gucci and get them redone. I nearly did the same thing and paid for it, but my Dad has been returning his collection to Gucci for years and told me about it.

I guess they're not too expensive then in real terms as I imagine they'll last xx years and with free re-soling too you'll save a fortune over their lifetime.
