Shots of Devon'ness

Back in Devon! Hurrah!

Managed to take most of the day away from dealing with my Mum's flooded shop, grab my camera (including my old 70-300mm Sigma which doesn't normally come out anymore) and go on the prowl.

Here's what we got...
(all taken with 350D and 17-40L unless it says otherwise)

Starting just outside my house, I found a rather sorry looking flower

Next, I wandered into some fields. So I shot them.

...twice (managed to balls this one up by shooting at f4.5

I saw this

Then I went through a gate...

...and headed for the beach, where I snapped a few birdies.
(These are the 70-300mm Sigma shots, all bar the last have been cropped a fair bit)

Back to the 17-40, and on my way back down to the other end of the beach front, I soptted this little guy plotting some evil

But I decided to steer clear of any evil-making, and photograph some boats instead!

And to end the day grabbed another chain shot to appease my fetish of such things

I like the chain shot, too - but I think it's dangerous to concede that to you.

This I don't know, but they shouldn't be too bad.

These were all taken on a walk from my house, which is out of town in the fields, to Budleigh Salterton which is a small town near Exmouth.

In turn, Exmouth is near Exeter. <- So, Hoodi, those would be the two stations you'd be heading to.


Lots of interest in the Devon'ness, eh? Maybe a mini meet could be on the cards...

im on the salterton road mate until i get a place in exeter itself nice shots maybe we could meet one weekend or something (i might learn something! haha)

would be nice to go up to dartmoor for the day theres loads up there to see

No, I'm from the Bath area. My Grandparents have lived here for as long as I can remember though so I know it fairly well. My Mum moved down here a 2 years ago to set up a business (she owns the Rowan Tree in Budleigh)and I'm back from Uni for the summer now.
