Should I bother updating my chipset drivers?

I'm doing a bit of a cleanup and update of my PC at the moment. I've updated most of my drivers, and I was just wondering if I needed to do anything with my chipset drivers. I've got an Intel 875P chipset on an MSI 875P Neo motherboard.

Will I notice any difference if I install the latest Intel drivers? Also, I can't seem to find any uninstaller for them. Can I just install the new ones over the old ones or do I have to mess around in device manager or anything like that?

Check the Intel website under your chipset support page. Usually Intel chipset drivers are included with XP, you might not need them. However you will most likely want to install "Intel Application Accelerator"

Thanks for the reply. I downloaded the application accelerator but when I tried to install it, it said that it wasn't supported on my chipset Anyone else got it working on an 875P?
