Should I change???

Last Monday I purchases a Nokia N8. I got it on Wednesday and since the weekend I really liked it. It made such a nice change from my slightly abused N95 8GB. Now though I am beginning to question it. The internet on it is really quite slow - the T9 keyboard just doesn't work well for me on a touch screen and it is slow and sluggish as a phone overall. The HDMI quality on the screen is particularly good, however the camera and FM transmitter is really cool. I got it in orange and it looks great, apps are very limited on Ovi Store i find, with not really any games taking my fancy apart from angry birds which i've played before. The sat nav free maps for life is great but how often am I going to use that?

Anyway I just got off the phone with the Nokia Store online and I have 14 days (till next Monday) to say that I want a refund. I can return the phone - used but in pristine condition back to them for a full refund.

My alternative phone is looking like the HTC Desire S (Palm pre 2 is still an option as i really like sliders). Android is quick and more apps are available but the camera is no where near as good.
My question is what would you do? Nokia are due to release a major improvement to symbian (PR 2.0) but I could be waiting till fall.
I know many will say well it depends on how often I use the camera etc... but opinions will help me:) Do you like android? I have a friend that thinks it "meh" lol.

Cheers Guys

Is the software on Android better than Symbian? Hell yes.

There is not a single Android phone with a camera capable of comparing to the N8, as you probably know.

I personally prefer the iPhone at the moment for the usual reasons, but I wouldn't call it directly better than Android, its different and comes down to personal preference.

With regard to an actual phone suggestion, its awkward at the moment because the new Android phones (which will eradicate many of the above problems like the camera etc) are released within the next 2-3 months.

I'd probably try and find a cheap Samsung Galaxy S and hold onto that for a while, its still a very good and top spec phone at the moment.

What would they be? the one thing I don't like about many of the new phones are the 4inch screens, yes they're nice but I wouldn't like such a big phone in my pocket.

Well, most of them have a 4' or 4.3' screen.

I'll say what I've said a million times before, unless you have abnormally small hands the phone is almost the same to use and the pocket size different is almost impossible to notice!

The new phones are -

LG Optimus 2X
LG Optimus 3D
Samsung Galaxy S II
Motorola Atrix 4G

The Arc is a good suggestion too, as above.
