Hi. I'm in the market for a new PC to replace my aging rig (7 years). I'm out of touch. I see computex 2015 is soon. Should I wait until after it (assuming announcements from nvidia and ati will bring priced of cards down)?

Or which graphics card do you recommend for £200.

Thanks.

I would wait for AMD to release their new cards and see what they have to offer.

I sent back my 970 and waiting to see what AMD release before buying a new one

what is your current PC spec? may not need to replace everything, what do you use the PC for, gaming?

if so what games do you play and at what ress?

With ANDs new releases just around the corner I would wait just a little longer if possible as the new cards are bound too bring the current prices down and 290x and 970s should become available at £200 or probably just above it for the 970 either way you will get more for your money after the new releases.

Thanks all. I've got a more general thread for a PC upgrade in the General Hardware section.

ED209 my current pc is a wolfie @ 3.8Ghz, 4Gb of DDR2 and an ati 4870. I play wow and heroes of the storm, but my system can't cope with lots happening. But I'm surprised it runs at all.

It's just the GFX I'm lost with.

Thanks.

I'm in the same boat, but after previous similar experiences. The best time to buy is just before the release.
All the current mid range cards will be on the market due to everyone wanting to upgrade.
This means the price will be lower (supply and demand) but then people will build their rigs back up again when the new AMD is out and for better or for worse. You will see a lot of people reverting back to their previous cards so the price will hike again.
Unless the 390 is flawless... In which case all of the above is irrelevant :D
