We have 2 cats...

Chuky who is 23 and her son Pluto who is 21.

Chuky is a little wobbly on her legs but is still just like a kitten, vet says they are both in amazing health for their ages and can't explain why they are alive, Chuky will be 24 in January next yearn and pluto will be 22 in February.

Oh, both have full body functions, pluto sometimes wee's without warning but regular chucking out side visits helps with that.

Anyway, little baffled at their ages, is it normal?

Here are some pics:

Aw they must have such a strong bond and so much kittie experience! They're like great elders of the kittah world, admired by all who know them.

Cool cats.

Your cats are older than me :(

Tell me about it! Pluto has his birthday a couple of days after mine, so I'm older than him by 2 days lol.

Pluto has really bad breathe whilst I'm on the subject, they both have full teeth so any advice on anything to get rid of his stench? Hate it when he licks me. End up caughing because it's that bad lol.

Our cat just about made it to 22, she had gone downhill a bit towards the end but still seemed quite happy (back legs a bit unsteady, weight loss and weeing indoors sometimes). She had been on the Science plan food for many years, initially to help her slim down a bit, it may have helped :)

Make the most of your cats and make sure they know you care for them :)

You’re very lucky to still have them. :)

Our oldest was 16 when he died, his mum was about 18 when she died. :(

We had an ourdoor farm cat that was about 19/20

She was still in pretty good health, but was run over :(

We also had a sheepdog aged 19 :o

We do, pluto the little sod sleeps on my bed every night... Me and him have always been close, he is my cat more than anyone else, guess cos we grew up together.

Chuky was once tied to the radiator via paw with a bit of string by my sister when my sis was like 4 or something lol. Other than that, they get loved :)

They still eat whiskers dry food. Always have, we don't have a special diet really, water, 3 meals of dry food a day, nothing more and nothing less, unless chuky and pluto go out on the hunt in the back garden and decide to have mice for dinner.... Disgusting but funny lol.

My cat had that, it turned out to be an abscess under one of her fangs. She had it removed a course of antibiotics and the smell went away. Getting cats teeth done isn't cheap so make sure your feeling flush.

Hope that helps

my mum spent a fortune getting all her 3 cats teeth cleaned and stuff , its pretty much as expensive as a humans private dentist

We just lost one of our cats. 24 years old and fine up until about 4 weeks ago when he just seemed to fall apart. PTS last week. Very sad day.

The other cat is a sprightly 21 and also has bad breath. She always has. She's an ex-wildcat (rescued from a building site) so there is no chance of getting her to a vet to check her teeth. No obvious issues though judging by the lethality with which she treats the local rodent population.

FYI, the one time we moved house since we got her we had to trap her inside an old divan bed. She used to go in there through a hole if she got scared. I had to scare her and then rapidly tape up the hole whilst we moved the bed to the new house. I felt like a right git to have this heart-breakingly meowing bed on the moving lorry.

My 2 cats are about 12 & 14 I think, I thought they were doing quite well till I read this lol.
