As title, should Roald Dahl be given a posthumous knighthood for his contribution toward literature and the arts?
No. It won't make a difference. He's dead.
I'll remember that next time you become worthy of something.

Why ask a question if you only want to hear the answer that you think is correct? A forum is a place where people discuss their usually opposing views and if everybody agreed about everything then the world would be quite a boring place.
He doesn't need to be given a knighthood, people will remember him for his exceptional works, not being given an OBE.
I have no qualms with you expressing your opinion. But you said nothing to support your answer.
Your above post which I've quoted is meaningless to this thread seeing as you have just quoted my follow up to my first post.![]()

My reply was in context to your first post, not your second, hence "I have no qualms with you expressing your opinion. But you said nothing to support your answer."
No. Dahl wrote some good stuff, but his contribution is hardly knighthood material.
so what do you purpose is?

No one NEEDS a knighthood then do they? Why should our top musicians, actors, business leaders and so on get knighthoods when their fame and money is reward enough?
