Off to a wedding on Friday so I bougt a new shirt, tie and suit but the tie (silk) has a little crease in it where it was on the tie hanger in the shop.. a bit of investigation on t'web leads me to realise a little bit of steam in the bathroom will sort it out just fine.

On one of the websites I browsed*, it had instructions on how to "dimple" your tie, eg:

Usually I don't dimple, it looks a little poncey but do you..?

What you doing over here???? :D

If its got a mark/crease, you could try taking it to your local dry cleaners, for a couple of quid they will be able to sort it out for you if your steamy bathroom cant help.

As to the dimple, i would say no. Just sort out a good double windsor and it'll look fine without the dimple.

If you want to, go for it! As long as it doesn't end at your knees or above your bellybutton, or have any part of it tucked into your shirt, you're not doing too badly :)

ROFL!

tbh dimples are a bit too ghey for me, I have only ever had one once and that was by accident. I just wanted to check my testosterone levels weren't unnaturally high by thiking dimples were bad ;)

I'm a half-windsor man myself, a full is sometimes too much depending on the tie/shirt -don't want to end up looking like a footballer :o

Looks like a half windsor with the dimple in the middle instead of off to one side like mine always is by accident... Must learn to do full windsor.
