Hi,
As title really, does anyone have some photos they have taken with this lens so i can see its capabilities.

Also whilst your there, what subjects do you find this lens usefull for and what subjects do you find this lens is no good at ? Weaknesses and strengths.

Thanks allot people, look forward to seeing some sharp (?) pics.
Ryan :)

Weaknesses - a touch soft wide open at the 400mm end
Strengths - versatility, image quality, value for money.

Have a look at this page in my blog: http://www.tug.com/blog/20070729/

The obviously telephoto pictures are taken with the 100-400L.

They are of Windsor castle, so there is lots of detailed stonework to scrutinise for detail and quality. They were all taken without a tripod but most if not all the telephoto images are likely to have been taken lying down, resting my elbows in the grass or bracing against something.

Click on any image to see the full resolution image as captured in my full frame 5D.

Ah... the memory of those summer days in the sunshine seem so distant in November.

My old 100-400 was sharp at all focal lengths but I have heard many people say they can be soft at 400mm
