Show Off Your Dish (Picture Thread) (Rules added)

Man, this might be a good place to come up with some ideas.

Something off the top of my head from later night, inspired the Korean dish...

Lettuce leaves stuffed with sushi rice, topped by pickled ginger, stir fried bean sprouts, spring onions, black sesame seeds, hoisin sauce (craftily obtained from the local takeaway when I realised I had non left in the fridge!) and of course caramelised belly pork.

Delicious!

Excuse the terrible picture but I tried making some arancini yesterday from some leftover mushroom risotto - it was absolutely delicious (no post-cooking pictures as they were eaten almost before getting to the table!)

I will probably try and fry in a little butter and olive oil with a whole crushed clove of garlic next time rather than in a reasonable amount of vegetable oil (all I had in the quantity I needed). Only thing missing was not adding truffles to the original risotto but I'll certainly be cooking double the risotto I need from now on.

I'm really getting into the whole leftover cooking now, in fact I've been cooking much larger meals than usual, specifically in order to get some nice leftovers for curries, pies, rice dishes etc.

washed down with a bottle of Veuve, bottle of Albarino and a bottle of Marlborough Sauvignon :)

Hmmm, as soon as I saw the fried egg on that dish I knew it was a dish from South East Asia. :)

well could be somewhere else as fried egg was originally from the Western world. The French brought it to Vietnam along side with baguette.
The only Vietnamese dish with fried egg is the one above "Cơm Tấm". Other than that, I cant find any other dishes with it. :) Perhaps, you felt the South East Asian's sense because of the colourful vegetable.

Been eating healthily, but didn't want that to mean no variation and taste to what we had, so been trying some things out.

Had smoked salmon, avocado and egg open sandwiches at the weekend with salad. Was nice.

Also had spinach and feta chicken, which was nice too.

Screams, give me a sauce, but it was tasty for the healthiness.

Did an oven pulled pork last night as well and it no way touches the amazingness of my BBQ/ smoker pulled pork, but it was nice. Used some liquid smoke which helped a bit.

Didn't get a pic, but did some really tasty salmon cakes on Friday (salmon, breadcrumbs, red and yellow pepper, soy, lemon juice, garlic, and an egg) with Sriracha mayo, which were really damn nice.

Old dear finally sent pictures from Xmas. So here's a pic of our Xmas dinner:

That looks legit. Can I come next year? I've got (quite) good table manners and I chew with my mouth closed (mostly)!
