That looks to be in excellent condition.

Was thinking the same
Looks great!
Exhaust looks like it could burn a hole in your trousers if you're not careful though![]()
Once I did an oil change on my Hornet. Changing the filter means oil goes all over the downpipes... so I cleaned it all up once done, no problem. Switched the bike on for a bit, checked nothing was leaking etc. did a bit of cleaning, finger brushed the downpipe that previously had oil on it. It sizzled![]()
I've seen people use a bit of metal (2" x "2 90 degree) to act as a gutter to catch the oil and transport it away from the downpipes to a bucket
It would sizzle even without oil.
I can confirm you do get sizzle oil or not
That is a very tidy looking Hornet, the exhaust must not be quite as bad as it looks in that picture or else you'd be getting a very very hot leg!
Yup something like that would work. I just didn't have anything suitable at the time. Even a very small/thin pan of the right shape would probably do the trick.
Nah, I had brushed them previously and was nothing more than a bit tender for a few hours. This was something else!
lmfy2k - you need a fender extender on there which should help stop dirt going up by the headers where it's difficult to clean. Also, if you can be bothered, shining the downpipes up with some wire wool makes it look even nicer.
Not sure how anyone in their right mind owns a Hornet and only puts 3,800 miles on it!?
That hornet looks mint! Even better, you know both owners so you roughly know how they treated it.
What are the plans with it?![]()
Lovely Hornet, they're great bikes had 2 myself in the past.
What No 16 platers ? I am disappoint![]()
