*** Show us your bikes! ***

The feeling of not one piece of dirt or a scratch on it, the new smell, the breaking in period, being able to finally open it up is all worth that cost to me. Plus of course the bonus of warranty and (generally) you know it's going to be 100% reliable at least for a few years.

Yep, you'd be mad not to.

Guess I'm mad enjoying a bit of new-ness then

Can't beat buying a smashed up bike and fixing it up,the savings are huge

So is the arse twitching while you wait to see if the frames ****ed :p

At the end of the day if some people didn't like the new bike feeling and the backup that comes with it the rest of us would have nothing to ride!

You're definitely mad, but you're in good company here :p

Each to their own n all that, but you can buy mint machines with a few k miles on them much cheaper, those savings can go towards your insurance or riding kit

depends on the bike, when I was looking at the MT07 the used prices were not far off brand new prices which was crazy, so makes sense to pay few £ more to get brand new in this instance

but generally i wouldn't buy a brand new bike, of course each to their own,

I'd love a brand new bike, I could afford one too but not sure there's anything new in my budget I want :(

If it's something you'll keep for a few years the depreciation isn't really an issue, yeah you'll pay a bit more but there's normally some decent deals going round - I'd certainly never pay full list price for a new bike!

That's where you have the be patient and wait a few years:p

Who carries cash these days? I think I have a tenner in my wallet that's been there about 6 months :D Unless I'm going on a night out it's plastic all the way.
