That sounds awful to have licked herself raw!
No hormone treatment, Hazel was actually mated so we'll just have to wait until the cycle completes. She will be getting spayed late Summer. It was the shaving for the ultrasound scan that seemed to set her off licking and she just never stopped. Currently on various meds for inflammation (Cox2 inhibitor and cortisone) and itching preventatives. Gabapentine worked well for our old Cairn Terrier's arthritis.Hazel can give you such a sorrowful look it makes you feel so guilty! That sounds awful to have licked herself raw!
I'm assuming you have started the hormone treatment as well then as it sounds miserable for her?
Must be really rubbish for you too.
My vet also gave me some gabapentine to give her before bedtime to help her anxiety and distress through the night.
She will be 2 in August and I'll get her spayed then, so we never have to go through this again as it's been horrendous and so upsetting.
Be fine as soon as the dog learns its placeIntroduce them correctly and they’ll be fine
We had a german shepherd and a cat for many years who got along really well, they used to play together and curl up for naps together etc. i'm sure if done correctly as has been mentioned they'd be fine. our dog (disco) and cat (cassie) were introduced when they were very young, idk if this makes a difference. both passed away now sadly.I so want a dog but worried any dog and my cat won't get along.
She would bark at the waves but when they failed to heed her warning and stop coming towards her, she attacks and bites them.
This resulted in her drinking a fair amount of seawater and then throwing up. Idiot dog.
