Show Us Your Motors!

Bought this as a cheap fun motor whilst I use money elsewhere, had it valeted today, wet vac'd etc, tidy little car for the money :) I quite like it but I think such a car is more a weekend thing than a daily now having had comfier cars! But it's a good drive and handles brill. Fun on a good country road.

OMG all I see is TT wheel arches now :D

Not many people can afford to run both an R8 and an M5, I would hardly say owning either one warrants a unsmiley face!

Nor would I want to, I think it's very important to own a semi-boring daily driver to make the other car feel even more special / more of an occasion!

I'd never buy a brand new car, on finance, before I'd have sorted my house/mortgage! But that is me and each to their own. The new TT is a lovely looking car and I think the one above is a great colour.

Plenty of the car vloggers on YouTube seem to live with mum, each to their own :p - not sure I love my cars enough to do that tbh.

The problem with car loans/finance is also when you go try to get a mortgage and you realise you can borrow 4 times your car loan less than you otherwise would have been able to.

any more pics of the Jordan?

I don't have any I'm afraid, its my mate Mikey's, think there were loads more taken on that RR day, not sure who took the pics though, mrk or rg[tom] I think?

Its off the road at the moment, the supercharged B16 with 270 odd bhp was apparently not quick enough, its now having a H22 Turbo engine/gearbox swap done to it, he's bought a fully forged bottom end, custom inlet manifold, hugely uprated fuel system, the full works, the engine was built for 500bhp and was originally meant for a drag car or something silly, he's going to change to a smaller turbo and aim for a reliable 380-400bhp.

Crazy cost involved of course and even with a proper LSD and suspension setup I'm not sure how usable that much power will be in a lightweight civic, sure it will be pretty wild though! Will get him to post some build pics up soon.

There should be limits to how much you can spend on an old Civic. As nice as it is condition wise, I'm not sure if I could stomach the inevitable massive losses if I eventually sold it!

I've got a lovely 3 bed detached as my first house, but my run around car is crap and my old clapped out jag remains so in our garage. I really want for a nice car but I just can't bring myself to enter a finance agreement on one. Soon!

The grass is always greener, I keep telling myself if I was driving around in a lovely car I'd be unhappy not having the house yet :p please say it's true.

my quotes on S2000s before I got my house were £800+

I bought my house, three weeks later got a personal loan for the car as apparently, being a home owner makes my insurance premium drop by a whole bunch, the new post code dropped it by another £50 too.

I washed my bog standard Fiesta today, and it looked nowhere near that shiny :(
