I can't check as im away with work, but i think its ~18 mpg which is a fair amount of passenger rides.

I drove 100miles to my parents a steady 80mph on cruise was 24mpg and managed 25.2mpg sitting between 75-80 with just my right foot controlling speed and zero traffic. Thankfully for my wallet - it's surprisingly easy to drive steady (at the moment) compared to the S2000 which i hammer everywhere. Although if i hammered this everywhere like the S2000 i would definitely be in a prison :D

Not that bad considering 5cy Focus ST and RX8s struggle to get more. Main annoyance other owners have is the size of fuel tank, good job i get 6p off each litre of BP Ultimate.

I'd be interested to know a realistic range is from pure motorway driving. I found my S2000 very annoying as the most I could get on a run was 330-350 miles driving like a saint.

I've never known anything different to that. My Alfa did 300 if I was lucky and the mx5 has a small tank so only does about that!

Nature of the beast I suppose. Its not quite comparable but the same idea. With my Toyotas I thrashed them everywhere because they had no torque and sounded glorious at ridiculous RPM's, but in the BMW I don't feel the need because its lazy and torquey and still sounds great at low RPM's. :)

The 2ZZ's were capable of 40MPG on a run but I only averaged 24~ MPG because I thrashed them everywhere.

The B25 is probably only capable of 30MPG on a run, but I average 26~MPG because I drive it lazily.

I used to get 320 or so in the S2000. Get around 350-380 in the DC5 if taking it steady. I went to Donington and worked out I did 38 mpg, not bad for a 250 bhp NA car with a 16 year old engine in it.

Including the track day or do you just mean the commute their and back?

Bloody hell, I had 8mpg at Donington with my 220 bhp NA car :p Only did a 3 hour session and filled up before i went, had to buy a couple of jerries from a friend to fill up halfway in the session too.

Around half a litre of fuel per mile, at least they were probably fun miles so well worth it.
I thought I've been taking it easy with all these greasy conditions so I was expecting to get good mpg....

The last tank included around 180 miles of motorway which upped the average.

Here I can pay £1.30 for BP Ultimate, or £1.22 for Momentum. I haven't checked VPower lately but I suspect its around £1.28.

My current TT costs about £60 odd for a full tank of Vpower (seems to cost a lot near me at £1.30+ per litre). Range says about 365 or so but I'm sure I get more like 330 - 340 miles out of it.

Old TT TDI used to cost about the same to fill up but got me 750 miles (maybe a bit less depending on driving style).

Huge difference...mainly because the TDI used to do 40mpg+ in any conditions even if you floor it everywhere.

Yeah v-power was 1.28.9 a couple of weeks ago, don't think it's worth the extra 7ppl, not when I have a tesco on my doorstep.
