I'm happy with them! I wanted this "fat" stance on it, I like how z4m's look so was chasing something similar! the finish is not perfect but I did the refurb in a day so it'll do for now!

I like the CSL's but the car doesn't drive well on them, the suspension config + 19's don't work well! with this config it feels like a new car, I was actually surprised just how much better it drives/handles.

with the CSL's

thank you!

Not surprised it drives better now!

Those 19's have like no tyre at all it must have being bloody harsh and literally jumping on the road with those rubber bands for tyres?

Was my mine fear of going to 20's but is also why I still made sure the car had plenty of tyre by not dropping to a 30 profile tyre.

profile was 30/35 r/f

it was all over the place! a lot of z4 owners have 19's so I wonder if it's a combo of 19's + tyres as a few have mentioned different tyres fixing the issues. The 19's have falken fk453s on which could be the problem, not willing to find out really. That set is going to be sold sooner or later and if I do get another it'll be 18's. I think 18's look good on the car with decent fitment.

Smaller wheel with bigger tyre always rides better and most of the time handles better too.

I could have gone 285/30/20 and 305/30/20 on the Mustang, but it would be too harsh and too much road noise, hence going 285/35/20 and 295/35/20 much better comfort level and more compliant handling generally on crappier roads. On a race track low profile is good due to less tyre flex so more direct handling.

yeah, if it was a track car I'd go for stiffer everything but on any b-road or even london road low profile tyres were a pain. Right now I think I got the right balance, the current setup is the stock size other than wider track on the rear but that's about it. IMO for a road car a balance of comfort/stiffness is what you need. With previous setup it was too bouncy to really push it and enjoy it as I never felt fully in control.

This, as much as i like my 19" CSL "style" wheels on my Z4, it is a harsh ride and the wheels do actually jump all over the road, unless your on smooth tarmac good luck taking a corner in them. Hoping to downgrade mine in the next few months to 18" something like the MV2.

what tyre size is on your new wheels Grudas?

standard Z4 coupe sizes so -;

front

225/40/18

rear

255/35/18

Z4M Style 224 wheels have different offsets compared to stock Z4 style 108's for e.g. wider track is the only difference here, rear fills the arches very well! front could do with a 5mm spacer but I'm not fussed.

Around half a litre of fuel per mile, at least they were probably fun miles so well worth it.
I thought I've been taking it easy with all these greasy conditions so I was expecting to get good mpg....

The last tank included around 180 miles of motorway which upped the average.

What app is this to ge this?

Tyre prices are sooo much more reasonable than mine.

A lot of cash I could be saving.

do it! get a set of style 108 or even 224's like mine if you can find a set and the ride will me a million times better!

have you had smaller wheels on your z4? if not then I'd say you're missing out as the difference is crazy.

Nah when I bought it last year it came with the CSL style wheels and left it at that.
