Show Us Your Motors!

Long weekend away on Northumbria, took the R8 as 600 was having its 6th year major service (big one at £3200), but R8 was better car for very tackling cambers and uneven roads, R8 was superb:

Weather was glorious and the roads were empty, 600 miles are epic driving and on way home stopped at Motorist for lunch.

Never noticed until now that not all R8s have the red bar on the 'R' of the R8 badge. Just early ones like that?

My new daily, more practical than the R8 V10 I had in terms of storage and ground clearance with nose lift. Loving the car so far, very easy to live with day to day. Need to take it on track or a road trip because it’s way to fast for uk roads. No front plate because McLarens don’t need one according to the dvla.
Well you only ever go a quarter mile at a time, so rozzers unlikely to pull you :)

I lasted two years without a front plate before a rozzer took offence.

Europe you need a plate and with me doing a few euro trips now I have one.

Also owning an R8 I know your storage issues such a bad design on that front as McLaren has far more storage space and is the better handling faster car, enjoy!

Had mine over three years now and 17,000 miles driven truly sublime cars that are hugely undervalued. Off to Black Forest in May and South of France in September so probably another 6000-8000 miles this year.
