For Christmas, I was flying to Germany to visit my family. I departed at Heathrow around 7-ish. Booking a window-seat at the right of the aircraft turned out to be a wise decision - as we gained height and turned eastwards after the westbound departure, I enjoyed a great panorama of London at dawn. The picture is not entirely sharp, but for ISO 6400 and 1/40s I think it's pretty decent.
Half an hour later, I saw my first sunrise at 36.000 feet.
