Elite 360's look crap, they don't even look black it's more of a grey. The PS3 black looks so much better.

thats true i never had a student loan or any loan for that matter and am proud to say i got through on my own even if i did skip on meals for a few days at a time

Thread bump:

I see a lot of 360's stood upright, is this safe? Or, will my games be scratched to pieces?

I tried sitting the console up when I first bought it and it scratched GOW pretty badly, not tried it since. Perhaps this is because I moved the console whilst the game was loading up?

Its fine either way, but moving it while its on with a game in the drive = scratches, and lots of them!

Its an ambilight tv, it's a function (on philips tvs IIRC) to give a backlight similar to the current colour on screen.

Yup - It's Philips Ambilight, you can set it to show a custom colour as in my photos or dynamically change to match the colour on screen, with left & right separation.
