Correct! My money is on the fact that as its exclusive to that chain, they can shoot down any price matches as 'its a different model' to the silver ones. [/conspiracy theory]

I got that one because over on AV forums someone gave out a link to a code that gave a huge amount off of the thing, beating all the other competitors out there (and after spending months arguing with John Lewis on price matches: i.e they will do anything to worm out of it). Can't fault it. Looks beautiful, fantastic picture, tonnes of options and inputs.
 
Can I hijack the thread a second and ask what the standard signal image quality is on these Sammy screens? Things like a PS2, standard Sky, terrestrial signal quality even?

Good, not brilliant- in that its as good as you're going to get on an LCD. Analogue signals just don't fair well on LCDs in general. From a distance its okay, but next to a good old CRT you will clearly see the difference. It has digital TV built in which is quite good, so I'd assume Sky (Digital) is the same. Still a bit of a fluffy answer, best bet is to pop into somewhere like John Lewis (as much as I hate them) as they will plug it into any type of signal they have to hand.

The one exception is the PS2 however. It looks absolutely terrible, awful, hideous :D There are upscalers around, I just can't justify getting one when I only play on my 360 and PC now.

With sky i find it is very dependant on the channel you are watching.
Discovery looks pants, but Sky 1 looks great.
The PS3 doesn't look good through composite, not tooooo bad on s-video, i keep meaning to get a component cable as i hear they can make a marked improvement.

What actually is it though? I'm sure I remember seeing them at IKEA, but cant remember what they were for :p
