LOL, we moved in 6 months ago and our house is still baron :o

Doesn't help that the other half takes about 8 weeks to make a decision on what colour cusions to get  :D

Lol, that really is pretty funny... everything in our house seems to end up in green as we both can't decide (well she can't decide!) - and we dont even really like green all that much? Ah well, cant have it all.

i-bert - using the standard component cable at the moment, superb output with that TV, I mean I am still so impressed every time I look at it in 1080i.

broona - that is a very good idea that, can you send me some more details? plenty of room behind the TV or in the cabinate to have some sort of fan system.

The bonus was that my cousin is a carpenter, so for the price of a curry night out and materials it cost not a lot.

My cabinet's different to yours as it is open to air at the back, so I simply bored 4 100mm circular holes in the hardboard backing, in a row along the top edge, and double sided sticky taped 2 80mm PC fans to the 2 outer holes, powering them with a cheapo switchable AC adapter so I can vary the voltage for more suck, or less noise!
I'm sure you could do something similar to the shelf your TV sits on, sucking the hot air upwards, just don't forget a couple of fan guards if they'll be accessible! ;)

Thats bloody clever, I like that.

I have already one hole about that size for cable access, so I guess I could do another one or 2 and plant fans underneath to assist with cooling?

I don't see why not, just make sure you go for some quiet fans or you'll hear them over your almost silent 360! :p
I would have gone for some 120mm fans, but had a couple of old Panaflo's kicking about, so thought I may as well put them to use.
It really does make such a difference too, with the fans off and door closed, the cabinet's really warm inside when I change discs, with them on, it's barely warmer than ambient, but there's some lovely warm air being kicked out the back!

my little setup
19" Acer Widescreen as a 2ndary screen and the main screen is a 26" R74 Sammy, used for the Xbox and as a PC monitor :)

Cant believe I still aint got a HD TV, keeping meaning to get one but I keep saying "oh they have come down, i will wait a few more months"

Might as well wait for 1080 to come down more now and get a beast of a tv.

Games are meant to be fun right?

Not a great quality photo, sorry but will update some better ones when i do a review thread on the "Playseat" soon.

God it feels such a long time I was watching the thread regarding your room overhaul Mr Latte. It's the kind of thing I want to set up in around 5 years time when I'll hopefully have a house and some money behind me.

Don't suppose you've done a 'work in progress' style thread on this anywhere, would be interested as to the components used/how you did it!

I feel SO jealous now, that's how all racing games should be played, nice. :D

Here's my basic setup.

Getting a cheap 37" HDTV before the end of this year to fix on the wall. Will then be able to do away with the 19" W/S monitor :D :D

Thats what I kept saying to myself. In the end I got impatient of waiting and just bought the sammy. It does the job very nicely.
