i am interested in getting some fan filters and maybe Akasa 120mm Fan Filter or something like that BUT,

But the cpu fan and cpu cooler/finns and the actually cooler is always by miles dirtiest inside my pc, would these type of things work on a fan on a the cpu cooler or are these only meant for the case fans ???

You see i cant get case fan filters because of my case, its a " HAF 932" make and the actuall fans on the case are massive, i think 1 x 140mm
3 x 230mm, they are like dinner plates, lol.

so now you can see why my cooler and its finns are forever getting dirty and clogged up quickly, i probably have to take the fan off and clean the finns and the fan at least every few months to keep it tip top, its a pain, and i dont have a dirty house either, lol.
you got any ideas to help me ?

appreciate it.

You could probably make some kind of fan filter with something like a stocking or tights if the fans were too big to buy them for.

I'm not sure putting one on the CPU fan is a good idea, although I could be wrong.

I'm sure they'd work on a cpu fan, but they'd reduce airflow a little, and therefore increase temperatures. It'd perform like your fan does when it's already a bit clogged up.

Still, it'd make things easier to clean. Cleaning a filter is a lot easier than cleaning out a heatsink.

The easiest way to clean your Heatsink is use a can of compressed air and at the same time clean your case. But l usually give everything a going over with a 25mm paint brush then use the compressed air to blast the dust off everything and out of the case. Fitting filter's will help and do not increase your temp's unless they get choked with dust..
