When I was using ADSL I had a Netgear router that ran flawlessly for a year and a half so when I switched to Cable I thought why not get another Netgear so I went with the WGT624 but this has been FAR less impressive than my old ADSL one. Every day it will disconnect about 3-5 times, sometimes upto 10 times a day, and this is very annoying, not only for me but for the other people in the household whose computers are connected wirelessly to it.
To sort the problem I usually have to pull the power lead for 5 seconds then plug it back in and wait for a minute or so but sometimes this doesn't sort it and I am without the internet for around 10 minutes until it decides to work again. The firmware is the latest version out.
So, I am after a new Cable router that has very good reliability but I have no idea what to chose. Can anyone help me out by pointing me to a router that they have had great success with?
Thank you.
