Sidewinder x8 mouse? Any good?

Was considering getting this if anyone has any good experiences with it, failing that a friend has offered me his old mx-518 so I can always go for that (ignore price in this comparison)

If you like the feel of the 518 but want better performance check out the G500

It runs rings around the X8 performance wise and "feel" wise imo

Second on the G500.

I hear the G9s are really good too if your budget can stretch to it.

Ive read on the internet and seen pics of people taking apart the g9x and g500 and they essentially use the same sensor/laser with slight tweaks
if you like the mx518 th g500 is what you want
if you claw your mouse(fingertips) the g9x is what you want
ive seen reviews on both and they are better than the sidewinder x8

I use the Sidewinder x8 mouse, very good for gaming and browsing.

Only reason I ask is cuz I could have either the x8 or the 518 for £15 which makes them both attractive options, so if you HAD to take one, which do you choose?

if your are used to wired mice/mouses(i dont even know which im supposed to say these days) then a wireless wont feel right for gaming and so id go for the mx518
if not the the x8 is by no means a bad mouse but there are better(previously mentioned in thread)

I have just bought a G9 and i am loving it, i have always had good Logitech mice but was realy suprised at how much better the G9 was over my others,

it has a vast array of features..... DPI on the fly, weight adjustment, two different outer cases, one for precision and one for comfort, also a great driver and tuneing program which works well on W7.
