(i cheated a bit and combined 3 pics here as I only have 1 pair of bluetits)

The 100-300 will get its chance to fight back if the weather holds tomorrow as i'm planning to go to Sepreth wildlife park.

some great shots here, amazed at what you could do!

did you have to get quite close in to get these shots? and wait quite a while to get them?

hehe, yeah it kinda helps when you have 3 bird tables hanging off your window sill

Having that setup does help yes

That said the vast majority of bird shots you see in publications are shot at very close range, I went to a talk by Michael Leach, http://www.michael-leach.co.uk/ a top wildlife photographer and he never shoots beyond 200mm. His argument is that these days any idiot can use a camera, the skill is getting in the right place, or creating the right situation, to get the shot.
