Sigma SD1 gets price drops and new compacts being released

It seems a much lower cost version of the SD1 called the SD1 Merrill has been launched:

It looks like the price will be around one third of the current SD1.

The DP1M and DP2M have also been launched with the same sensor found in the SD1 Merrill:
