Hi

In my work the only phones that get any signal are o2...Could this be effected by a BT openzone wireless internet connection that is available through the hotel ? Its odd really cause o2 have full signal yet every other provider has nothing at all, not even enough to send a text.

Surely they cant do that ? Or is there any way around it ? If i leave my phone on a desk in a certain way in the restaurant part of the hotel (jsut one table) i manage to get enough to send a message.

Would a signal booster thing work and are any available ?

Thanks

Surely this is just a case of the area you're being in being covered better by one telco over another?
At work I get nearly a full O2 signal, my mate who sits at the next desk along struggles to get 1-2 bars of Orange.

At home my other half can quite often see "Emergency Calls only" on her Vodafone, however she is seeing almost full strength on signal.
I can get almost full strength on O2 again - so it's obviously having next to no luck finding a Vodafone signal and tagging on to O2 for emergency call only status.

There are still plenty of little areas where one telco can give you full strength and another none at all.
