Silly idea for a game?

I like my realistic/tactical fps games but everytime I play them I keep getting this wierd idea in my head.

Imagine playing something like Operation Flashpoint but instead of fighting other people, wouldn't it be cool to fight huge monsters, dinosaurs, robots, giants, zombies, etc ??? Yeah I know there are games like this already, but what I'm talking about is a proper realistic tactical fps, except with something crazy like a dinosaur roaming around. All the ballistics, physics and gameplay mechanics must be realistic and taking down the beasts must be equally realistic too, i.e. you need to work in teams to hunt them down. Missions may require you too extract trapped survivors from a crumbling bunker that is infested by velociraptors for example. Not sure about the storyline behind it but I'm sure something credible can be thought up.

A good starting point I guess could be the AvP games; I can think of plenty of ways that could be made into a tactical fps and not lose its appeal. Also it doesn't necessarily have to uber realistic like Ravenshield or the like, but something more in line with say, BF2 (I guess that would make the job a lot easier). Just imagine playing BF2 and having to deal with aliens and predators.

Ive always thought that a Jurassic Park game/MMO should be made. The island is a persistant world of dinosaurs for which hunters with specific attributes go in and hunt the beasts in order to earn money etc. Only the strongest characters would be able to hunt the T-Rex etc. Imagine.. Stalker, in the Jurassic Park world but MMO..

Yeah this is the sort of thing I'm on about. I was watching Jurrasic Park 2 the other day and thought how cool would that be as a game?

I think it wouldn't be too hard to use something like the Farcry graphics engine to pull off something like this. I think the hardest part will be incorporating realistic gameplay mechanics into the game without upseting all the console kiddies.
