Not surprisingly, judging by the actual results on Saturday, with half the matches played this weekend we have generally very low scores. I think nine players are still on 0 points.

Lawro is amazingly standing on 7 points, but the best our group can manage is 4 points, a total reached by six players. Maybe Sunday and Monday will see a change in fortune.

BTW you made two sets of predictions, foz2000. I'll be taking the second set as the ones you wish to go with, but for the Saturday matches it wouldn't have made any difference; 1 point from each set.

A strange set of results this weekend, particularly on Saturday, has kept the scores fairly low. JPMslither coming out on top, and matching Lawro with 11 points. Big Kev and decmatt are only one point behind. Well done all of you. Not surprisingly, nobody managed more than six correct forecasts.

A bad week for Nursie has meant that, for the season as a whole, a five point lead has opened up at the top. I fear that I am sprinting far too soon, and will soon be caught and overtaken by a whole bunch.

We have another break this coming weekend for World Cup qualifiers, so the prediction league returns the following weekend, but I'll set up the next round shortly.

Edited. See below, post 62, for corrected results in the light of a problem brought to light by Steve09.

I know it must be time consuming and tedious doing all those scores, but I think I got 5 points and not 3.
I guessed a correct result for the Arsenal and Chelsea games and I guessed a correct scorline for the West Ham game.
My guesses were post #30.

Thanks

Well, you've certainly cause a stir there, Steve09. I did have your West Ham prediction down correctly; what I got wrong was the match result - I had it as 1-1.
So yes, 2 extra points for you and the other two who went for 2-2. BUT, 2 fewer points for the 14 people who went for 1-1. My apologies to all 17 of you. It will be corrected before very long.
