Sim racers - what are you running?

I've been looking at wheels and pedals all day and pretty much decided on the simagic Evo and the neo wheel and now just read your posts. DOH!

Please keep us updated as I was going to order from the same place so interested in their customer service.

This will be my first ever wheel

its a shame as the quality is pretty gd, and feedback in game is miles better than Moza(more refined), the GT Neo has a history of disconnects, all over google, so i found out lol.
its sad that ive been let down by simagic themselves. but i let u know on the simracer side when they reply, probs tomorrow :)

Simagic finally replied

Hopefully the fix is solved.

I've had issue with the new Evo Pro base I bought to replace the Alpha. The latest firmware for SimPro, it doesn't see the base. Tried all sorts of work arounds and it won't have it. I have an older version of SimPro which I'm currently running.

Also had a devil of a job getting the screen to work on the GSI wheel. It works now but it was a pain in the butt to say the least.

They messaged me, earlier instead of messing with repair they going to exchange it. So pretty good fair play. Hope it helps

I have a evo pro wheelbase since launch and have not had any issues with it touch wood. All is good

But ifuofate

Simagic are a waste of space tbh.showed them vids, they suggested a few things, but haven't heard from them since Friday 11am. Have posted things since but ignored.even messaged them today saying it's fine on usb cable. But nothing
So contacted retailer simracer.uk

They really not a waste of time.

I had issues not with the wheelbase but with the qr. Sent videos etc and within 24h I received a new one

Just trying to get my first ever set-up going. What are people's opinion on a 43" 4K 144hz ALLM TV vs a 34" ultra wide 180Hz monitor for a single screen set up?

Only really got the space and budget for one of those two options.

On paper the TV seems to win hands down, more screen space in the horizontal and vertical.

Any one used similar sized screens?

Do you find any issues on the 34 with vertical height?

Is your monitor 1000R or 1500R
I use a 34” ultra wide and the vertical height is fine for me. The screen has a 1800r curve.

I had a 34" ultrawide (3440x1440) for a long time and always felt the vertical height was a little lacking. Changed to a 38" ultrawide (3840x1600) last year which felt like a really good step up.

In terms of sim racing kit, I took the plunge with a Conspit Ares base and Conspit 300GT wheel. They're both excellent and have been faultless so far. It was bit of a gamble as there's very few reviews out there but all my research kept leading me back to them, glad I made the choice in the end. The caveat to all that is the only thing I had to compare them against was my previous T300rs which was, frankly, pants!

It’s definitely a personal preference thing, i wouldn’t go too aggressive on a curve and if i was to consider another screen I would check out the new Alienware 39” on its release

wheel on way back to simracer.uk after simagic approved an exchange, posted back today, so hopefully wont be too long

I bought the same bundle in the end from them, Evo sport 9nm, GT neo and P700.

So far no issues!... Touch wood.

Been playing around with it all most of the day, big learning curve for me as never had a wheel before.

I got haptics as well for the brake peddle which has really helped with hitting the ground running with brake feel
