Simple question that is frustrating me...

It's probably me being a bit too dense to think on the situation or even just go with a judgement call..

But does anyone have experience with national rail season tickets?

My question is this if you have a season ticket for national rail does it work both ways on a journey,

Say for example im using
http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/en/s/seasonticket/calculator

To plot a journey from station a to station b, would this season ticket also cover me for the return journey from station b to station a?

or would i have to buy a second season ticket for that purpose?

I only ask as i have never in my life bought a train ticket before.
