I believe it would. The closest to that is, I think, Rosberg in 1982 with a single win.

Kinda hope Alonso has a poor race, I really like him as a driver but a poor points finish this week could close the title race right up between 3-4 drivers depending on their finishes and generally leave more excitement in the remaining races.
Would be nice to see the Merc's do well though, especially if it turned out Michael is quiting at the end of the season, he's driven well and had the least luck of anyone on the grid probably. Would be great if we saw a Michael and a Kimi win before the end of the season.

I think your missing the more general tone of what people are saying. Its not about Alonso, its about the whole F1 'show'.
As i've said in previous years, even if my preferred drivers aren't winning, I'd rather my fav drivers get back in it through speed and skill rather than the leader DNFing.
I'm not a fan of "I hope x doesn't finish" so my driver who cannot beat him on the track closes a gap. I prefer good individual races rather than having the show ruined because 3 of the faster cars are taken out in the first corner.
Of course if a driver DNF's because of a mistake that's different

Love this track, the challenge and the awesome visuals. This weekend will be extra special for me as I'll be playing on f1 2012 and most likely buying a wheel stand pro for my g27.

Just shows how worried they are that Lewis or Jenson can't do it on the track himself, it's a massive compliment to Alonso that they are wishing for him to not finish. It also shows how unsporting many real fans are on here
If it was people saying it about Lewis/Jenson it would be considered trolling by the same people

Not really, because Vettel was the only one to grab a large amount of points from that, with Webber picking up a handful. Since everyone else who was in the championship hunt didn't really get a significant amount of points the Alonso DNF didn't make as much difference to the standings as everyone was hoping.
With whats happened in monza the gap has increased between Alonso and the second place driver to a gap almost as big as it was after the Hungarian GP.
(the gap was 40 points after Hungary and now its 37)
