After much faffing around and finding Nokia removed most of the native functionality for VoIP in the latest available firmware meaning you need to install an application tucked away on their developer site to enable it, I've now got to the stage where the phone will register a SIP connection I can enable the Internet Call application (which is now integrated into Contacts and the options are fairly well hidden!)
I'm connecting to a 3Com VCX IP phone system.
The phone is SIP registered, and dialling my extension rings the mobile and I can pick up the call quite happily. However, despite a lot of changing settings for all sorts of things, I just can't seem to make an outgoing call from the mobile via the 3Com system. It just gives "No Answer" after about 30 seconds, but there is no ring or other sound from the phone.
Any suggestions of settings I need to change to get this to work? I copied the settings off one of the techies E71's today and they showed me that making an outgoing call, but the E75 seems to use a different software version with different options available.
Cheers.
